Welcome to Rockin' Horse Farm: Breyer Model Horses! I am your hostess, Anne Giles
(formally Strieby), and I have been in the model horse hobby since I was just a little girl (like
most of us, I'm sure!). My first models were the Classic Black Beauty Gift Set that I got for
Christmas in the second grade. However, I didn't really get involved in the hobby until I was
about 12 and first subscribed to Just About Horses. I took a small break from showing,
although I still collected, during my college years at UMass, Amherst where I double
majored in English and Education. Then I got back into it full swing when I graduated and
had more time to play and less studying to do! Today, my personal collection numbers over
1000 mostly OF models. I collect any type of model from plastic to china & resin, but the
majority of my collection are Breyers (followed in second place by Stones). I do have
several custom models, but I just love the smell and feel of an original finish beauty!
However, I have recently started painting my own models and am having a great time with it
(see pix at bottom of page!).
In my off time, I enjoy reading, writing a newsletter for my mailing list clients, four-wheeling,
snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, live showing my models, and playing with my three
"children" Buster, Bella and Houlie (black, chocolate and yellow Labrador Retrievers- one
of each color)! I also teach English at a local high school and work part time as a dog
groomer (a job I've had since high school). But model horses are, of course, my favorite
hobby!
I started this business at the suggestion of my husband, John. He suggested I become a
Breyer dealer since all I talked and thought about was Breyers. We have been in business
since June 2002 and our reputation as a reliable mail order dealer has grown. We have
gained many friends through corresponding with customers and I truly hope this business will

| Thanks to a good friend (and bad influence), I've recently discovered the fun of customizing models using pastels & acrylics. To date, I've completed 15 customs, including several resins with another in progress. Several of these models have gone on to NAN and/or Region 10 Regionals qualify already and others have also live shown with success.
